Why is this news?

Exactly, under the bridge was a hangout before, and unfortunately "tagging" has been around for decades.

That will look so cool from the air! Too bad you can't see this bridge from HWY 1 as you pass Postage Inlet, or can you?

If you can, it's only for a second as you drive along.  Stupid Christie Point.

That's too bad. It would have been great to see the bridge lit up at night.

Which begs the question, why don't overpasses include artsy lighting? I think that'd be great.

Frank Leonard says this guy got a little confused and drove up the pedestrian path. I guess they will probably install bollards now.

"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."

I like the use of architectural lighting.

Maybe this is a jab at Victoria?  Our Blue Bridge is done, yours is not.

He's just taking the whole "shared street" concept at face value.

The approach from the east is somewhat convoluted. The lane narrows while the expanse of the sidewalk broadens which is completely opposite of most bridge approaches. It's like you're literally coming upon what looks like an unopened/unfinished travel lane to your right.

East?  Isn't it a north-south bridge?

EDIT:  Oh, maybe you are sort of right.
