Default GREEN culture

I wasn't sure where to put this.

It might be more a cult than a culture, maybe both those words have the same etymology...

Perhaps they're trying to make being 'green' a 'cool' thing.
Kermit did that years ago.

They're mocking the green movement.

Did you see the other Audi Superbowl ad, "putting old luxury on notice" (modeled after the infamous horse head scene in The Godfather)?

I thought that one was actually better.

However, both of them are a bit weird. The message is definitely full of contradictions - which I guess is as good a way as any for getting the viewer's attention. "Huh? What's going on? Oh no, I think I have cognitive dissonance...!" Etc. etc.

They remind me a bit of those ads that used to try to scare us. These ones make being scared funny, but it's still a negative message - except you laugh at it, too.

Meh.

I thought the Google ad was very effective, however. Take a look at it - really neat.
