I am very curious to see what effect this has on Saanich candidates' meetings, this year's election results, and voter turnout. Every municipality should be so lucky as to have such a list.
Saanich COUNCIL VOTING RECORD 2005-2008
Just released http://www.saanichcivicleague.ca
[At the site, click on "Council Voting Record" to see the records of incumbent councilors.]
74% of Saanich respondents to SCL Citizen Survey say they need more information to vote November 15. They asked for a snapshot voting tool, an unbiased, well-researched account of how Saanich Council members vote on major issues.
You said:
I don't have time to attend Council Meetings...
Everyone sounds great at election time...
I need factual information on whether they practise what they preach.
Track the performance of mayor and councillors...
We've done the work within a context of Saanich Civic League's guiding values.
Let us know what you think info@saanichcivicleague.ca
Read it. Forward it. Vote for What You Value.

Very impressive work and I must congratulate all who put so much effort into the SCL (I've been in contact with one member who has been recently pulling all-nighters and I can now see why).
