Looks like it's getting closer.

Fugger said some time ago that they were hoping for a June opening, and Fugger suggested that would mean more like July.

Photos on Facebook courtesy of The Sky is the Limit Design. Quite a striking difference.

"Meats and cheeses, local produce, coffee roastery, flowers and more" so says the sign.

Aubergine is open for business and it adds to the Fernwood neighbourhood feel. Lots of organic goodies, coffee, veg. Leon (proprietor) is friendly and eager to have your business.

I was in there yesterday, finally, and I was really impressed with how much interesting stuff Leon can fit into 600 square feet

It's also your best source in the city for satisfying a craving for South African treats like Biltong.

I met Leon today, quite a character from what I can see. Ya, he fits a lot into that space.

He is South African, and Jewish. Lots of South African fare there, for sure.

It is amazing what he can do with 600 sq feet to work with. He also has two parking spaces behind his building that you can access off of Fernwood.

I wish the biltong was in smaller sizes. The Boerwors sausage is tasty but he doesn't carry Curryworst:(

I'm going to South Africa soon and I can't wait to get my hands on biltong straight from the source:)

Well now I know what they do with all those "tore a strip of my ass" pieces.

Aubergine has plans to add a small eatery called Tortilleria Monterrey on the West side of the store.
