National bestseller Red Dog, Red Dog, set in a small B.C. interior town during the 1950’s, focuses on two brothers bound together by family loyalty and inarticulate love.  The book marks Lane’s fiction debut following an award-winning collection of over twenty books of poetry.

Set in 1906, Graveyard of the Sea is about Nell, a young girl residing with her family in a lighthouse on the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island.  She learns Morse code and becomes a hero after saving a stricken ship from joining the graveyard of the sea.
