And of course don't forget the cost to the developer in redesigning three proposals as the building go short and shorter, in the end gets passed on to you and me too.

But I guess the city mandates such things like min parking spots rather than letting the market decide right?
In cases like this I'm such a market capitalist. If you can make a building with only .5 spots per unit and sell it has a 'pedestrian' focused downtown housing project, more power to you. Or replace a lot of the parking space with some little bike storage areas.

My building has .6 and that is the lowest of any Victoria zoning.
