I see there's always dancing in the Blue Nile restaurant on Douglas St.

Where's your favourite dancing spot?

Hugo's is pretty good for dancing. Dark enough and cramped enough that you can hide your dumb moves.

Gumgum likes to dance on the ceiling.

But if you're into proper hand to hand dancing of all kinds check out the Eidenweiss club on a Friday night. You pay a small fee and you're taught a dance or two. Once instruction ends you're on your own for the rest of the night.
It was filled with over a hundred people when I was there. Dancers of all levels and all ages. People seemed to really be having fun.
It was my worst nightmare.*

*But if I were single I would be there every Friday night. The best place to meet very fit, attractive people that don't think twice about asking you to dance, even if you don't want to, even if you suck.

Well now that the bad news is out about Hugo's...any suggestions?
I need to brush the cobwebs off.

The Blue Nile AND Jellyfish Lounge are closed too. This is like a real-life showing of Footloose.

*Assuming gumgum means the Eidelweiss Club, it's in James Bay.

Eidenweiss? Eidelweiss? It's Edelweiss.

Geez, didn't anybody watch The Sound of Music?

(I don't know what's wrong with me today -- first I mention The Flying Nun, now The Sound of Music... I must be going stark raving mad...!)

Speaking of insanity, is gumgum saying there are hep cats dancing at the Edelweiss Club in James Bay?

That's hard to picture.

Does anyone remember Sapphos? Unlicensed, probably illegal, early 70s, gay bar, dancing, till 4 a.m.?
When you buy a game, you buy the rules. Play happens in the space between the rules.

Ah, well there we go.

But strange thing is that Eidelweiss still churned up the right result. I guess Google knows what I'm looking for more than I do.

Where the hell did I get Eidenweiss?
And why didn't one of you English usage Nazis pick up on my mistake six months ago?

And only go there if you can really dance, or enjoy being humiliated.

A coworker recommended the Clubhouse.
He was trying to politely state it was for my age group.
So I told him I wasn't 40, I was 18 with 22 years experience. ;)
