Right about HERE, between the pedestrian ramp and car ramps that go up to Wharf, where that black top area is, they are about to build something.

They have shored up the concrete perimeter sort of foundation. I don't even remember if anything was there previously.

Anyone know what it is?

My guess is that they are going to just make it a nicer sitting area or viewpoint. The way it was before you couldn't see what was going on there from the street and it was a bit of a hang out to drink.

Just below the centre of that picture, the GVHA is asking permission for a temporary permit allowing the continued use of the antique car and scooter rental on Ships' Point. Personally, I feel any sort of use in that desolate area is positive.

Rob, in that shot there is an area of the main parking lot that kind of bulbs out into the harbour, in that shot it has one car in it. It is marked no parking, is that area used for something all summer?

That is Provincial Capital Commision land.
I think that is where "The Homecoming" statue is going.

The Homecoming© Statue:

Can you really copyright the name of a statue that depicts the reunion of a sailor with his family? If so, doesn't this complicate matters a bit?
