Are there any robotics stores in Victoria?

It's the only sort of place I can think of that would stock the wire that I need for a project, and I don't want to order $2 worth of wire and pay $50 to have UPS ship it here.

Thanks!

Queale is good for wire and stuff, but I need a specific connector. Of course you can buy the connector and crimp terminals for pennies, but the crimp tool is $2,000.

Some RC/Hobby shops sell the wire pre-terminated with that particular connector for just a few bucks. I can get it online but I'm not joking about the shipping.

Hmm.. from the looks of it they seem to stock only the RC toys, not the individual internal parts.

Well, and massagers.

I assume you already tried BC Shaver?

Edit: I assume BC Shaver is still open? I haven't been in there in years.

Investigating Hobby Shops? Think Tri-Health and Hobby Shop.
Think Tri-Health and Hobby Shop when you be after Hobby Shops in Victoria, BC

Tri-Health & Hobby Shop specializes in RC toys including the latest in RC helicopters, cars and boats. We are an authorized Cobra dealer and have a large selection of the state of the art designs. We also carry a wide range of health products which include products for relaxation, message and pain relief.

Just when you think you've seen everything. Gee, I wonder why someone would need relaxation and pain relief AFTER SPENDING ALL DAY WITH LOUD, TINY HELICOPTERS. Maybe it might have something to do with THE LOUD, TINY HELICOPTERS.

How about a robot that does not need batteries or wires?

US engineers have built the first ever self-contained, completely soft robot - in the shape of a small octopus.

Made from silicone gels of varying stiffness, the "octobot" is powered by a chemical reaction that pushes gas through chambers in its rubbery legs.more;
