Interesting bit of background on Stephen Roberts:
A Life And Death Conversation With Stephen Roberts
I'm a little disappointed that elder care didn't get more attention during this election.
And as usual, a weakness among all the leaders that should have been exploited was the absence of in-depth discussion about provincial finances. We're deep in deficit already, yet everybody was promising the sky. Nobody asks how they plan to pay for everything. There seems to be a profound general ignorance about the macroeconomic situation. Denial is hardly a responsible way to deal with problems. I talked with Mr. Roberts briefly about his background with international banking, but not enough to gauge his knowledge of current affairs.
