My favourites are (in particular order):

Serious coffee
Solstice
Bean Around the World
Union Pacific Cafe
Demitasse

I have more depending on where I am in town but downtown those are my choices.

Speaking of coffee, some coffee shops are missing the boat with that lineup everyday at the passport office. I'd be taking orders for delivery to the line.

Then you'd have to set up one of those portable urinals, too. One guy on the news said he lined up for four hours yesterday unsuccessfully so he was out this morning trying again.

There was a Serious Coffee on the corner of Fort and Cook but I guess they bailed on the franchise because they're now called "Coffee, Tea & Brew Co." which is the stupidest business name in Victoria since "Amigo's Restaurant & Cafe Mr. Salsa Restaurant & Cafe Blue Nile Cafe".
"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."

Dolce Vita on Douglas is open. Looks good! Quite big and there are chairs and tables on the street.

Does the sign light up at night? That stretch of Douglas needs more retail lighting.

Know it all.

For a home brew, I have to vote for the "Bean Around the World" Foglifter. That's the stuff...

Does anyone have Jamacian Blue Mountain?

I've seen it at the roastery on Fort St, the one just west of Monk Office.

Speaking of fairtrade, I'm pissed off more coffee shops don't sell it.

Gonna vote for Habit - plus every time I go there I bump into someone I know. Feels like it was always there. Old Victoria blood or something.

My vote goes to Union Pacific. Great coffee, food and service. Paradiso is a close second.
