I heard they closed both the Johnson Street and Bay Street bridges yesterday at the same time.  That must have been a mess.

It was a mess. It's been strangely under-reported by the local MSM.

Response from a Twit, I mean from Twitter: "Your reporter is a scab for the Canadian colonial regime. For shame."

I didn't realize any unions were on strike as a part of this protest. Can't cross a picket line that doesn't exist!

“Scab?” Is that the term for someone crossing a picket line?

It's the term for someone hired by the employer to do the work of those striking, aka a "strike breaker" sometimes. It's being thrown around incorrectly on Twitter (surprise surprise).

I don't think there's a specific word describing someone that attempts to pass through a blockade, like Popham was doing in that remarkable video. Very sticky situation. I think that's why Vic PD is not wielding a heavy hand as any action they take will reflect on the provincial government and they don't want to make their job any harder right now.

Could Prince Harry’s visit or move or whatever it is be adding fuel?

Yeah, give North Saanich some of this.

I am sure the Swartz Bay ferry terminal will be targeted again soon.
