No she was standing right next to the tug, making eye contact with him, and when he honked to start moving she waved and motioned no. solid 3 mins holding before WJ pushed. then she walked away. I have pics but they won't upload to here.

There is a 1953 Chevy just right of center, and the plane at left is a DC-4 with Pacific Western.

Not really, I made some of it up but Pacific Western was active at the time and they did fly DC-4's

I saw the old props and can’t imagine they were flown very far into the 60’s, so how close is 1955?

Pacific Western flew DCs until at least 1969. When was the big hanger at the Coast Guard base built. That stands out quite nicely in the top left of the photo.

BC transit to Swartz Bay; walk on BC Ferries to Tsawwassen; then take these lower mainland transportation services.
