In other WestJet news, they are cutting alot of international routes and 160 domestic routes.
Can't find a list of local YYJ flights cut, but im sure there will be some from the bare bone schedule they already are running.

So that’s that for Westjet’s long haul 767s.
No big loss, at this point in time. There's virtually no international travel, and those '67s are old fuel pigs as well. When things come back there'll be some brand new 787s in WJ livery.

A plane due to fly into the skies around 5:25 a.m. this morning marked the end of scheduled passenger air service in Sydney, N.S.
Air Canada's decision to indefinitely suspend all service in Cape Breton comes after WestJet ended its routes in October. Monday's Air Canada flight to Toronto is the last one scheduled to leave the airport, and none are scheduled to arrive.
"I wouldn't call it a milestone. I would call it a very difficult and sad day," said Mike MacKinnon, CEO of J.A. Douglas McCurdy airport.
The only air services operating out of Sydney now are cargo planes that visit a few days a week, along with the occasional chartered flight and medical evacuation planes.

Only six flights are expected to arrive and depart over a 12-hour period today at Victoria International Airport. Four other scheduled flights were cancelled, likely because of low passenger counts that wouldn’t even cover the costs of starting a jet.
There are no international flights and certainly nothing flying south to vacation hot spots as in previous years, when there were as many as 100 flights a day to and from destinations across Canada and into the U.S. and Mexico.

Some of WestJet temporarily suspending these routes of interest for YYJ, YCD, YQQ, YLW ( till – Mar 4)
Vancouver – Nanaimo
Vancouver – Comox
Kelowna – Victoria
Edmonton – Comox
Edmonton – Victoria
Toronto – Kelowna
Air North has suspended service from YYJ, till early.
Air Canada's timetable shows YLW-YYZ service in March, and on wards, as using an Airbus A220-300 (BCS3). First secondary airport use in BC. Hope it comes to YYJ someday.

Quite possible that we'll see the A220 on YYZ-YYJ in the offseason when demands starts to pick back up, as the narrowbody fleet gets reduced to just the A220, the MAX & the A321. With the 319s & 320s exiting the fleet, the route may not support the larger narrowbodies outside of the summer season.
Note that YYJ-YYZ is currently not operating.

Air Canada permeant Main Line service left YYJ a few years ago and replaced with Rouge service.
During Covid, some YYJ - YYZ service was replaced with Main Line service 3-4 days a week that was even operating, and yes a few gaps of no service at all for a few weeks.
The time table showed some Main Line service over Christmas, and starting up again in Feb again with Rouge A321 service.
I don't think the A220 will come to YYJ or Main Line service return to YYJ. Time table shows the YUL service this summer is Rouge service as well with a A319

With the Rouge 319s being retired, it changes the economics of having rouge operate the route. Certainly a Rouge 321 makes great sense in peak season with it's 200 seats.
But in November? 137 seats on the A220 is much better matched with demand.

I agree a A220 would be better, but Main Line AC doesn't want to sink money into YYJ anymore.
Rouge is here to stay in YYJ, the business clientele numbers aren't there anymore for Main Line service.

Business class numbers dropped off a lot on the AC YYZ route. Costs a lot to cater that class in out lying bases where catering companies are not established or meet AC standards. YYJ is all Jazz staff, who cover all the ground base operations for AC and Rouge. AC's pax numbers at YYJ was slipping since 2017 off season.
Update; AC Timetable updated this morning for Jan 28th onwards to May 2nd
YYJ is getting Airbus A220-300 service as Mainline service showing March to April on 1,3,5 ( Monday, Wed and Friday ). Then A321 service on Rouge.
Is that what brings mainline, Missed, the business travel?
What an odd duck YYJ is. Serves a population of 500,000, has high volumes of tourists, is the capital of a province, but struggles to sustain air services over the long term.

I rest my case
Rouge makes the most sense May - September/October. If there are still a handful of Rouge 319 around then maybe we'll see those in the fall.
But otherwise the long thin routes with moderate demand are exactly the mission that AC purchased the 220 for.
