I'm searching for an image of the old carved wooden sign that sat (sits?) by the highway as you wound your way down the hill into JR. The sign has an interesting history: it was removed, stolen then returned. If you have a shot of that sign, would you be willing to share it? Cheers.

Was it one of those giant historical information signs?
Know it all.

I would bet that you possess the talent to find my grade 8 report card online VHF.
Ha ha, I found VHF's Grade 1 school photo. I'm not saying which one I am.

This old hydroelectric generating station made a perfect camping spot for the night. Crazy Neighbor came out with me for this trip and it was great to have company. It was a little rainy but most of the power plant was dry enough to camp comfortably.

Whatever happened to the big log building at the Potholes?
Today, the stones are all that’s left of the ill-fated resort.
The site has since transformed into Sooke Potholes Regional Park. The ground under the lodge’s stone foundation and chimneys is sliding into the Sooke River below, and parts now overhang the cliffs. Fenced off for public safety, the ruins are covered in graffiti artwork. Occasionally, a hole in the fence appears, indicating curious visitors have likely wandered through to the structures. Some interlopers aren’t too shy to post their exploits on Instagram.
