Heres is the newest school site purchased by the Sooke School District for $18 M off of McCallum. Add the other on Bear Mountain ($6.18M) and the Westhills site ($23.0 M) the Sooke District has sure invested a good chunk of admittedly needed money into sites as of late.

Crews sure have made quick work of that land. I was up there the other day and it’s unrecognizable.

There was some talk back in I want to say 2017 about that plot of land directly across from Costco being used for a new arena/rec complex. Could go nicely alongside a new school if that's still on the table...

Yes there is an intention of a service station. They got a text amendment i believe earlier this year for that.
Also the parcel directly north of the school site was transferred to Langford. My guess would be such a facility would be located on this parcel right next to the school site. (kinda like oak bay high) Sounds like a good synergy to me!

Also in Sidney, there's a proposed renovation, partial demolition, and new addition to Amica Beechwood, located at 2315 Mills Road. Staff report goes to Council on November 4th with a recommendation to move the project forward to ADP review.
75 existing units to be retained, 24 to be demolished, and 69 units to be constructed. The new units would be assisted living and memory care, in a variety of studio and 1BR layouts. Parking is proposed in an underground parkade.

I don't think there's a thread for the proposal at McKenzie and Saanich, but revised drawings were submitted last week. 26 apartments, 8 townhouses.

There's a info thread here: https://vibrantvicto...-snip-the-clip/
And the way around it is to right click the image in the original post, select "Copy image address" and then re-attach the image to your post. A bit cumbersome, but it gets the job done.

Mods: Will this ever be fixed?

An interesting proposal in Sidney for workforce rental housing at 2140 Skylark Lane. 3-storeys containing 12 units, each unit has a storage locker and a parking space. In a residential neighbourhood that is tucked between the highway, the airport, and the industrial park.
