Douglas Magazine is reporting this month that City wound up paying Rogers nearly $750K, not the $600K reported earlier.

I've said it before here.

For $600k they could hire 10 men for a year. Those ten men could spend one whole year painstakingly moving that heritage wall back.

Then they could have hired 12.75 men for a year to move the wall back.

^ The real sad part of this story is that a number of employees lost their jobs for a half a year. Such a mess.

I am assuming that the higher payout included legal costs.

Bollocks.

Why would anyone have lost their job?

Why would anyone have lost their job?

When I bought my last box of chocolates, the gal told me that the owners had laid off the staff when they started the renovation. The renovation did not take place. She got her job back 6 months later.
