^ Tell us about its organizational structure, victorian fan. Was it a one-room school? (I'm a big fan of those -- and not a fan of the factory school system, with its rigid parsing of grades & ages, and subjects.)
When you buy a game, you buy the rules. Play happens in the space between the rules.

I don't remember much about Kingston St school. The smell of wet coats in the cloakroom. The individual bottles of milk, sometimes cold but mostly warm. The long walk (alone) from the 200 blk Menzies St. Thirty students in my kindergarten class.
There may have been another grade or two.
However, I went from there to Beacon Hill School and then to the brand new James Bay School on Oswego St.
Strick, no talking, pen & ink and "the strap" (almost always boys).

I have a very hazy memory of dropping off my older sister at her preschool (or maybe Sunday school), which I remember as being a tiny schoolhouse on Niagara Street somewhere east of Oswego. Anybody know what I might be thinking of? This would be one of my oldest memories, assuming it actually is a memory and not completely made up.

That was Christ Church Cathedral's Niagara Street Sunday School; north side of Niagara at Medana. aka St James Mission
I went to Mrs Webster's nursery school there.
I walked from Parry St and I was only three-years-old.

It is indeed. I can't remember when my nursery school closed but after all these years they're opening it again.

Ach, mein Gott! I thought my school was tough!
"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."
