Probably, but that was still the argument the neighbours gave.

Won't people still see into neighbouring backyards from lowrise buildings?

I guess they figure it's preferable to have decent people looking into their yards from a lowrise than to have lunatics and perverts looking into their yards from a highrise.

Mike Geric builds a nice building. He has done quite a few in the Royal Oak area.

Their marketing team has quite the choice of words:

"Slab quartz countertops with “glitzy” shimmery tile backsplashes adds a touch of bling"
"Spectacular kitchens with slab quartz and a white “wave” backsplash that is quite stunning"

I think this thing is topped out. I see it regularly being a couple blocks away. Suits the neighborhood well.

Quartz is expensive so playing it up is a good thing! $100/ sq ft retail.

Sparky is that Mike or Ed Geric? Or both?

Travino seems to have put a few photos up on their Facebook page. Quite lackluster, but if you look close it's kind of interesting.

The two buildings are now mostly complete. Building B, at four storeys, consists of 30 condos. Building A, at five storeys, has 26 rental units and six condos. The ground floor contains amenities for both buildings.

What is that large glass semi circular wall for in the first photo?

It's going to house one of the resident amenities. Either a gym, games room, activity room, etc.

I think there will be a sales centre for the whole project in the bottom floor in one of the spaces, then later a door will be cut through when it becomes the planned amenity room.

Huge parkade under the whole project.  Basically the entire lot area is one huge single level parkade spanning all the buildings.  They've got about 1/3 of it done so far.

The project is now finished, and the Mike Geric Construction team has done an incredible job on this community. I would highly recommend a visit if you're in that part of town.

Yadda yadda flat grey/white panels yadda yadda...

But really, they look very out of place and the upper stories should have had more design attention. The base and middle look great, and then you've got a really "meh" crown on top.
