I know you like a bargain, but this was a bit much.

This one is for you VHF. I could not resist stopping and taking the shot. This is located in the little burg called Tillicum, just south of Tacoma on I5.

Oh, brilliant, and in more ways than one!
VHF - March 12, 2012:
In fact, substituting "wok" for "walk" makes for all kinds of good puns.
Dead man woking....
Trudeau's long wok in the snow...
Wok this way...
Ask Not Wok Your Country Can Do For You...
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their wok...
Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wok...
I'd start a wok restaurant but I already have plans for a make-it-yourself omelet restaurant. You walk along the assembly line, picking out ingredients along the way, then at the end you get the eggs base, and a whisk to beat the stuff together before dropping on the grill. Some say it might be a bit of a whisky business venture, but I'm going ahead with it.

If they have to put "Tasty" on the window....
You missed the fast and fresh part.

After knowing of its existence for over twenty years, I finally tried East Garden Restaurant on Belmont, a block in from Hillside. We ordered takeaway, although I wish we had dined it - it seemed so surreal, with how they've managed to stay in business in a converted house for all these years.
The food itself wasn't bad, although maybe a bit pricey (what isn't nowadays, though).
Quoting myself and answering my own question LIKE A BOSS. East Garden Restaurant (business, bricks & land) is apparently for sale.

Of course the marble arch can't be beat for western style Cantonese fare, no funny business there. Chicken balls made from fresh chicken, battered and fried to order literally right in front of you? Yes please! No chicken loaf to be found here.
I am friendly with one of the commercial hood cleaning guys in town, want to know where to avoid? Ask them. They. See. Everything.

China busts 35 restaurants for using opium poppies as seasoning

Any updates on good Chinese food? I'd love to have some good old-fashioned chicken chow mein, like you used to be able to get, with bean sprouts not with the cheap crispy fried noodles you seem to get nowadays.

^ You had to bring up the Marble Arch again didn’t you Matt.
Now I have to go there for lunch again tomorrow. #1 on my hit list is their egg foo yung chow mein.
Best on the planet IMO.

I've never been disappointed by Halibut House. Tasty, not greasy, ingredients seem high quality.
