What's the latest with the Northern Junk buildings then? I've never understood why the city tore down the two buildings between the Northern Junk buildings and Ship Chandlers McQuades (now Chandlers Restaurant). Rumour has it the idea was to a create sunny spot where street people would hopefully congregate rather than on the streets; true?

Thanks, I did see that thread, but didn't notice anything in it about those two buildings, only the Janion, which BTW looks like a great development IMO.

The thread regarding the Northern Junk project is in "City of Victoria" on the "Victoria Construction and Development" board, just a few topics down from the Janion thread.
