Hope there were not many people who headed downtown just for the fireworks

It was a pretty tame effort.

I imagine the Victoria Harbourcats final post-game fireworks of the season tomorrow night will be more impressive.

Heard Steven Page from the other side of the harbour while walking the dog - it was amazingly clear, perhaps because it was orchestra accompaniment rather than standard rawk band. Couple of BNL classics plus snippets of crowd pleasing covers like "Ob La Di, Ob La Da".

The Inner Harbour was packed with people on Sunday night, enjoying the music of La Nef, Steven Page Trio, and the Victoria Symphony, and the spectacle of a fireworks show. If there was concern about a low turnout, it quickly vanished.

The fireworks may have been many things, but a "spectacle" it wasn't.

So no symphony splash again this year. I have to wonder how many attended any of the Symphony in the Summer performances?
