Sorry but what goes on in this space? It’s like an airport waiting area which is great for charging your phone and checking your email. I think it will be like the rendering.... empty....

That’s the crew lounge and quarters. The restaurant will be in a separate building.

Bike storage

Then it wouldn’t be empty at least. More bikes in storage than are being ridden....

Construction Update
The concrete slab on which the amenities facility will stand has been poured. Delivered by 14 concrete trucks, a total of 140 cubic meters was laid down. It will be tested at day 7, 12, 28 and 56 to determine the concrete strength. The concrete will be ready for steel in 28 days and construction of the first two buildings will begin.

The Victoria International Marina will be launching in May 2018.

Did I imagine this, or is it true that the buildings are being manufactured offsite and moved to their permanent location when the platforms are ready?

Based on this TC article, the buildings will be constructed on site: http://www.timescolo...hape-1.11937245

I saw that same update from VIM, but I think it's a few weeks old, since the steel structure has already been built.

Don't be so sure.

Today’s TC.

Of the marina's 28 slips, seven will be reserved for daily moorage, seven will be available on a monthly lease, seven will be available on a yearly lease and seven will be reserved for long-term tenants who pay for a 40-year lease.

Think those numbers may need to be adjusted based on demand.

Provincial government officials failed to follow their own rules for allocating Crown land when they approved leases for a luxury yacht marina in Victoria's Inner Harbour, the B.C. Ombudsman has concluded in a new report. http://www.cbc.ca/ne...lease-1.4483449

reminds me of the harbour airport with that curved roof. I don't suppose it'll also be a 'green' one?

Those are good shots, bingo.  Thanks.

Now, is there any leak on the restaurant operator?  We had last heard it would be a well-known local group.

Not sure if this offers any clues, but the name of the place will be Boom + Batten, and the two guys listed as contacts are Paul and Alan. http://boomandbatten.com/

These new waterfront structures will be helpful in counteracting the hideousness that is at least half of the Songhees architecture (pre-Shutters especially).

I thought the group who owns Glo, will be the new restaurant operators. It's starting to look good. As Bingo's photos show, they have now completed the pour for the base of the restaurant. I imagine they'll start building the structure soon.
