Reliable street rumours this morning indicate it’s indeed Paul Simpson from Glo.

I like the non-commitment on a completion date.   :D

And are being assembled this afternoon. I was wondering when they were going to get to actually building the Boom and Batten. Now they seem to be going at it seriously.

The entire pickle boat fleet is moored at the marina while the Dynamic Beast is in town for the blue bridge removal closures.

A bid odd given that the owner of the business was one of the most vocal foes of the marina.

That’s pretty funny. I guess now he’s in favour of creating a navigational hazard when it suits him.

It also looks like the Melges24 yacht race information has been largely removed from the Marina web site. The event is (now?) being hosted by the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.

I think it was always to be hosted by RVYC but maybe the boats were to have kepts at the harbour(?).

Yacht Evviva (owned by the Bayliner founder) is moored, taking over from Gran Finale that is back in front of the Empress.

You mean there isn't room for both those vessels to be docked at the new marina or do you suppose Gran Finale is choosing the location "closer to the action"?

Why don't we have more photos of the marina progress?  Gary, can you get us some?
