I think the general rule is that only projects over 6 storeys get their own thread.

Do we have a thread for a proposed development at 1811 Oak Bay Avenue at Bank Street?

Does anyone know what the future holds for the old BC Hydro Gas Works plant area, which has now, to the best of my knowledge, been totally remediated and title, I think, transferred to the Songhees Nation? Methinks this would be the perfect spot for a new, downtown casino although I'm unsure as to whether $$$ would flow into City coffers or would be retained by the Songhees Nation. Any updates anyone?
Thanks!

I believe Le Fevre & Co. owns that building. They have not revealed any development plans as of yet.
This area holds such tremendous development potential. Let's hope the powers that be don't turn it into another lifeless, pre-Shutters-aesthetic, Songhees-style mess.

The massive, long-abandoned Powerhouse near Rock Bay where power was once generated to run Victoria’s streetcar system and provide the city’s early electrical needs is on the verge of a new life now that noted heritage developer Chris Le Fevre is working with B.C. Hydro to redevelop the site.

Looks like it'd be a place to stick up some cinder block walls a la VHF's master plan...

Since it's to stay industrial... any of the local breweries looking for a bigger space?
Posted 27 November 2017 - 08:55 AM
I thought Le Fevre only has an option on the BC Hydro property. There are no actual plans to redevelop it yet, I believe, though I'm sure Le Fevre is looking at his options for what could go there. The possibilities are mind boggling.

A funky bistro brewpub would be a perfect use. They could call it the PCB Site (Pacific Coast Brewery Site).

Pembroke Corner Bakery?

That's the best double entendre I've seen for a while here. Let's also assume they'll play heavy metal music.

Well I guess the alternative is industrial rock music...

Does anyone know what Chard is planning for their newly-acquired properties @ Yates and Cook?

An Escher and a Duet would be great. Maybe even a Juliet and a Duet.

What about a Jescher or a Duliet?
