That's the Castle property, no?
Castle is officially a Bay St address, but it could be that property. The 200 Block of Wilson stretches from Bay to Catherine.

The civic address of the application is 208 Wilson, 210 Wilson, 220 Wilson, 230 Wilson, and 240 Wilson. The first two (208 and 210) are existing single family houses; the other lots appear to be vacant on Google Street View...

Aha! Ok that makes sense.
Know it all.
Citified.ca is Victoria's most comprehensive research resource for new-build homes and commercial spaces.

Hm - Castle is 220 Bay: there is lots of underutilized space in that area...leave Castle alone, its my local go-to place when I need duct tape, a spackle knife or sandpaper in a pinch........
In that general area right around the corner however, bounded Tyee/Bay/Langford Streets, I'd love to see that big lot with the fugly chain link fence, currently used for overflow parking for Jimmy Pattison's cars, get blown away in favor of some nice development......

Technically, it appears that 208/210 is a duplex
and 220 is the green "character" house next door

It would make sense to increase the density in this area. It's just a block from the Westside Village shopping centre, with Save On Foods.

Any details on developer or plans? Always interested in townhouses being added to the core (I've always thought there are not enough townhouses options near downtown)

Renderings and developer info will likely be up on Dev Tracker in the next day or so.

The apartments are nice but I think they are overpriced for what they are offering. $1650 is around the going rate for new build dt one bedroom apartments with ensuite laundry, pets allowed and parking. This building has coin laundry, no pets, no parking, no dishwater, galley kitchens and are asking $1750 for a one bedroom.
The revitalized Bell Apartments are going to be a nice rental building on Cook Street once renovations are fully complete this month (this is the building with Wet Cleaner and Wong Brothers; a fire impacted the upper storeys some time ago). Website: http://www.bellapartments.ca

A 22-unit strata townhouse development is proposed for the 200 block of Wilson Street in Vic West...
There are still no renderings posted, but the project has been updated to indicate that it's 22 strata-titled townhouses *AND* 12 rental apartments.

Hopefully the renderings will be posted soon, but we now know that Jamie Hubick of Hub Studio is the applicant. No website I can find, as I assume HUB Studio Montreal is not involved.

I LOVE the brownstone style townhouses/condos. Note to developers: more of this please.

This has nice urban form...

This project will create significantly more density without radically changing the character of the built form of the neighbourhood (except to improve it). This should be a slam-dunk, so the NIMBYs will probably come out in full force.
