With a floor plate of this size that seems pretty reasonable. So about 4 months to full height?

They are on level 5 now it looks like...so 11 weeks...early to mid January? It looks like the residential units above the retail are almost done, I saw drywall going up the other day when I was watching the site.

Brewpub to anchor proposed downtown residential tower
http://victoria.citi...idential-tower/
A yet unnamed brewpub operator is planning to anchor a 16-storey mixed-use rental and ground floor commercial tower proposed for the southwest corner of Caledonia and Blanshard streets, according to documents filed with the City of Victoria by Richmond-based developer Townline.
Dubbed Hudson Walk, phase two, the project will include 106 rentals in a mix of one and two bedroom layouts plus two-storey street level townhomes. 100 apartments will range between approximately 581 and 800 square feet with six two bedroom-plus-den townhomes afforded 1,200 square feet.
Kitty-corner to the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre, the tower's 4,000 square foot ground floor commercial space may become a hive of rather jovial activity if Townline receives the necessary approvals to house a craft brewery and pub in the podium of the residential building, a first for Victoria. Most definitely. It used to be that Sopranos was the closest pub to the arena (albeit one many people wanted nothing to do with -- sorry VHF, you know we still love you) and since it closed only Romeo's is available within quick walking distance. Whoever establishes a space here (Phillips?) will do very well on game nights or during events.

You had me at beer.
Any indication if this is a relocating brewpub or a new one?

My buddies and I drank for free at Soprano's for months by dominating the Guitar Hero contests. Gross little hole that place was.

Unfortunately no details have been provided, Townline is holding its cards very close to its chest.
All we know right now is that there's serious interest by an operator to establish a brewpub at that location and Townline will be approaching the City on Thursday for approvals to proceed to a public hearing (the brewpub usage requires a rezoning).

We're just a street over and got a thing from the city saying the owner was applying to allow a brewpub here. I hope things go well for them on Thursday as they navigate our kafka-esq and regressive liquor licensing and zoning systems!

Brewpub to anchor proposed downtown residential tower
It will be a great place to grab a beer before heading over to the game ... I hope it has a positive reaction.
