Has he been here since becoming PM? I don't remember. The 150th anniversary is for BC (what we call the mainland today), & not the creation of the Colony of Vancouver Island btw.

Stephen Harper will be in Victoria to celebrate B.C.'s 150th birthday on B.C. Day.

The prime minister, who plans to be in Vancouver Sunday, is scheduled to give an address to the crowds gathered on the legislature lawns in Victoria between noon and 1 p.m. Monday.

Saanich-Gulf Islands MP Gary Lunn will join him on stage.

Semi-appropriate non-sequitor: Richard Nixon once visted Victoria. Had some nice things to say about it.
"Beaver, ahoy!""The bridge is like a magnet, attracting both pedestrians and over 30,000 vehicles daily who enjoy the views of Victoria's harbour. The skyline may change, but "Big Blue" as some call it, will always be there."

Speaking of Nixon (and we do so much here!), his opponents came up with one of the best slogans ever for a political campaign; "Lick Dick in '72", although I kind of doubt his opponent George McGovern (who was surprisingly, a democrat!) approved the slogan. With his last name it's surprising McGovern lost, you'd think he would have been a shoe-in.

The word is actually spelled "non-sequitur" Rob. I knew your spelling was wrong but when I looked it up, I found out my spelling was wrong too! I thought it was "non-sequitir". So now we both now!
