How do their subsidies differ from ours? We also buy dairy at set prices from producers, as federal policy.

You could also say that Canadian marketing boards keep our prices artificially high and provide for no competition.

US prices, to be fair?

Of course.

 

Gas is $2.80 a gallon at Costco, thats $1.00 CDN per liter.

Yep. A bit too high, IMO. I know quite a few dairy and chicken farmers. They are not struggling... anything but.

I'm going to set up my small-bottle pop stand just outside the jurisdiction.

 

New York bans large pop drinks.   Tofino bans small drinks.   :badpc:
