Do you have more information than Lover Fighter posted? Does "is being sued" mean the court date has come up? Or does it mean that the paperwork has just been filed/served?

I have no info beyond what Lover Fighter posted. But it would seem that the expression suggests a trial date has been set. Perhaps LF can provide more clarification.

Well, let's start by giving the man the benefit of the doubt. To be honest I am not really comfortable with this information being on the forums until Lover Fighter clarifies. I'm going to ask for a mod consensus.

The claim was filed and served to Wayne last month. A court date has not yet been selected, but Wayne has already submitted his reply to the claim.

Roger Batchelor (the lawyer involved) has had an interview with a Times Colonist reporter, so we may see this in the paper within the next couple of days.

Does anyone have any more details about the suit? I'm a bit confused as to the nature of it. Small claims is not the venue to deal with voyeurism, which in now included as an offence under the Criminal Code of Canada (s.162).
