On several occasions during the last election campaign, I was approached by BC Transit drivers who were handing out flyers at major downtown bus stops. The flyers stated that if you support BCT expansion, support these candidates. The candidates were Fortin, Madoff, Alto (not running in this election) and Chandler (I'm pretty sure she was on the list, but I can't recall 100%). I knew for a fact that other candidates had expressed strong support for transit and alternative transportation methods, and on one instance I inquired why they weren't on the list. The driver became irritated with me (great, huh?) then turned around and began handing out flyers to others waiting for the bus or walking by.

What was most bizarre was that the drivers were dressed in BCT attire and tried to make it seem like BCT was endorsing these candidates, when clearly it was a group of drivers sympathetic of the NDP/Left slate.

I'm curious to see if these individuals will be back on the streets this year.

Know it all.
