Please use this thread for results from the municipal elections as they come in, and for any discussions related to the results.

As mentioned in another thread, the volume of voters, so far, appears to be higher than the previous election.

It could have something to do with the unseasonably warm weather ;)

The voting process at Doncaster Elementary School (in Saanich) went much smoother than the station they had set up there for the federal election. I was definitely impressed.

I was doing some non-partisan campaign work this morning and was surprised by the number of folks that had already voted (this was around 11am). The last minute dean flyers are absolutely everywhere (we got two). The amount of volunteers needed to distribute them so effectively makes me wonder why he bothered with mail-outs at all.

Only CFAX is covering. Thought A-Channel was going to as well - but "Road to Avonlea" (circa 1987) is on instead.

In general G-Man, or just about the elections? ;)

This is linked from cbc.ca/bc website - typically they are only doing a CNN style election map for the lower mainland. Us hokeys elsewhere have to wait for results to be manually posted.

CHEK just updated in the commercial break and they've had layoffs this week. What the heck is (not) going on at CIVI??

In the meantime, CFAX does have some updates online: http://cfax1070.com/...php?newsId=7045

I was still living in Europe at the time - thought local election coverage here would be much better, oh well. Thanks G-Man

CBC TV (channel 2) will start coverage at 9pm
