I mean this is terribly ambitious:
According to a staff report, the district’s goal is to reduce the amount of garbage thrown out each year to 125 kg per person by 2050.
Currently, each person in Saanich throws out 318 kg of garbage each year, according to the most recently available CRD figures.
The goal is to cut that down to 250 kg by 2031 and 210 kg by 2040.
