Went to BOXO for my second time. The first was then they opened and the last was tonight. It is really just okay in my mind. The bathroom was gross with lot's of green stuff around the sink and the toilet was pretty messed up also. I put the seat and lid down only to see that top of the seat had lot's of interesting things on it. Could have been a one off on the bathroom I am not sure but I'm all done there.

Anyone else?

I have heard good things about the food from people at my work but have yet to try it.

I've eaten there a couple of times. Food was a pretty good value for the price, but nothing to write home about. Better than Noodle Box though, so perhaps others will rave about it.

Food was ok...but I was unimpressed with lack of service and the pricing in particular. The sandwich board sign outside had lower prices than the same items on the interior sign. When she rang up the higher prices I inquired and was curtly told that "we are aware of that". No price change, apology for the confusion, etc. Just a hand out for my money. I'll stick to Noodle Box where they do it right without confusion and arrogance.

What's Boxo? Another one of these "eat food out of boxes" places?

If you like Asian fusion noodle fare, I would seriously suggest checking out Foo in the Dalton hotel (Yates @ Blanshard). Waaaaaay, better quality than Noodle Box.

I was about to pop in today but went to the Italian deli. Next time I'm definitely going to check this place out.

Mike, the take-out container that you may remember me brandishing last week was from Foo.

There's a really good write-up about them on Page 16 of this month's edition of EAT Magazine: http://issuu.com/gar..._nov___dec_2009

The place is now called Foo, btw.

Stopped by for lunch yesterday with a buddy. Both of us agreed the food was excellent.

As far as I know, having walked Blanshard on my way to and from work for months, Foo and Boxo are two completely different restaurants.

I took Bob Fugger's advice and lunched at Foo today. I had the beef and broccoli chow mein. It was perfect.

I think the thread title needs to be updated.

Foo is at 769 Yates Street in the old liquor store location at the corner of Blanshard (just outside the hotel), Boxo is at 1011 Blanshard.

I've never been to Boxo but I have eaten a few times at Foo and I loved everything that I have tried there.

Whoa, looks like we had a serious Boxo-Foo screw up.

The Foo thread is here.

I imagine Boxo won't be around much longer... they are SO not busy at peak lunchtimes during the week. Plus they've fallen into the Noodle Box rut of no longer offering GOOD veggies in their boxes and instead are cramming them full of broccoli (ick!) and the blunt ends of celery.

I guess it's time to try out Foo and see if it is a welcome change/replacement.

Well, as was mused about here back in 2009, Boxo is not around anymore as per a note in another thread.
