Merrick Architecture has released a wonderful rendering depicting one of the original Sussex concepts before City Hall hashed and slashed the building into the tower we see today.

The rendering shows the Sussex at 12- or 13-storeys.

Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.

That is so awesome... and makes me so angry. I really really hate this city's fear of striking architecture.

It was Mayor David "Moonbeam" Turner that knocked the top off that building.

Speaking of Merrick, what's the Victoria Accord?

Obviously, only some of it came to pass.

There's a lot to like in there. As far as I'm concerned, Victoria can never have too many domes and spires and other such fanciful elements.
