Yah that's one of several. Keep following the Fraser River and you'll hit a couple more at Riverport in Richmond. The vehicle freighters are huge.

^Wow, so there is.

Vancouver always surprises me. I've spent my life going over there and you think it's familiar territory but then you see this entire district you never knew existed. And then you cross the street and in a few minutes you're in this dense forest that doesn't end till Prince George.

Or this lone green one.

Actually if you tilt the map you can see the sides of the cars and you'll see that the cars are just covered in white protective film.

Google Earth is more better than maps from a navigational perspective.  Use the middle mouse button to tilt and spin it around:  https://earth.google...62.90226469t,0r

Around 450 vehicles in that Vic West pic, another 175 on Harbour Road, and another 250 at Ogden Point in two groupings?

Any other locations we should know about?

this advertorial says it'll be the largest dealership in BC:

The largest auto dealership in the province is currently under construction, and plans to open in our very own West Shore.

Harris Dodge Victoria is making big moves, and relocating from their current location at Yates and Cook Streets to Veterans Memorial Parkway and Meaford Avenue, hopefully by the end of this year.

The all-new 36,000 sq. ft. dealership will feature Canada’s first dedicated Jeep showroom, as well as 20 mechanical bays.

https://www.victoria...the-west-shore/

although 20 bays does not sound that impressive.

hmmmmm.

2017:

Construction begins this month on what will be the largest Toyota Dealership in Canada: a state of the art showroom and service facility for OpenRoad Toyota Richmond in Richmond, B.C.

At 205,000 square feet (19,045 square metres), the new facility will feature two lounge areas, a children’s play area, plus a full-service café with TVs, a fireplace and WiFi access. The new vehicle showroom space will encompass more than 15,000 square feet (1,393 square metres) alone, making it the largest Toyota showroom in British Columbia, with space to display 36 vehicles on two levels, plus 10 indoor new-vehicle delivery bays.

The dealership will also have a 12-bay drive-through reception service, 30 full mechanical service bays, and four express service bays for routine work such as oil changes. There will also be two automatic carwashes and six detail bays.

seems like it is built:

It 'could' end up the largest on the Island, but definitely not in BC.

Pattison's Metro dealership is pretty large and might actually end up bigger once the final square footage of the Harris dealership is calculated.

Canada Drives has begun a big ad campaign. Impressive company. Is this the future?

Cody Green founded Canada Drives in 2010. While working at a dealership, he noticed flaws in the existing sales process when customers would choose a vehicle only to then be declined for finance.[6] To make the process more efficient, he started helping customers get approved for car finance before choosing a vehicle. Realizing the scale of this customer pain point, he set out to solve the problem by building an online platform around this inverted process.[4]

Co-CEO Michael Galpin joined the company in 2011.[4] In 2014, Canada Drives moved from Saskatoon to Vancouver to be closer to the growing tech sector there. At the time, Canada Drives had six employees.[7] As of September 2019, the company employed 450 people.[3]

Canada Drives was identified as a company growing fast enough for an IPO but opted to stay private due to low-interest private equity funds.[8] In 2019, U.S.-based growth equity firm Anthos Capital invested $100 million in Canada Drives.[9] In late 2020, Canada Drives expanded its business model from online auto financing to online vehicle retailing and delivery.[10] In 2021, the company announced the national launch of its online vehicle retailing and delivery platform with service in Ontario and British Columbia. Sukhinder Singh Cassidy joined Canada Drives’ board of directors.

Buy the car online. They deliver it. Kind of like Tesla.

It appears they are the payday lenders of the used car world.

Canada Drives - Honestly a scam that preys on the financially unstable. | Glassdoor

The product they sell is a scam. I left when i couldn't deal with what i was doing morally, you ruin peoples lives here. This is how it works. The loan has an interest rate of 46.96%. They specifically target people with poor credit because they're more likely to need cash. Kind of like how PayDay Loans work. They "report" to the credit bureau, so people can see that they've been making or missing payments on their credit report, but it does absolutely nothing for their actual credit rating. These are people with poor credit. They have enough problems as it is. They prey on their need for money and use hard-closing sales tactics to convince them to take the loan.

Anyone have any experience with Canada Drives? : VictoriaBC (reddit.com)

This place is a private lender first and foremost, they use cars as a collateral (just like Galaxy Motors), so stay far away.

they certainly do cater to those that have more difficulty with traditional bank car loans.

Or new car dealer financing.

Hey, so they are good at truly lending against vehicles as collateral. What’s wrong with that.
