I like to think I've made big strides over the years with my bitter complaining, but Nparker could make me feel like an amateur even with one gripe tied behind his back. But then again, he was a career BC government employee, wasn't he? And a longtime North Park resident, too. So not really a fair fight.

Outmanned and outgunned.

Sparky, that fence doesn’t look too difficult to scale, you just need a boost.

^ Thanks Matt. I’ll bring a rope. Sorry I do not know how to rotate that photo. I try and remember to always shoot in landscape.

Victoria’s North Park community will soon see more levity in the neighbourhood, as the OK, Dope Comedy club is set to move into the former Logan’s Pub and operate a full-scale comedy venue.

Logan’s Pub, a dive bar fixture that got taken out from the economic blow of COVID-19, shuttered its doors in fall 2020.

Now, OK, Dope will take over the keys to the former pub in January 2026.

The old Romeo's on Blanshard has been leased for $123,000 a year until 2031. No park for many years in the future

Harpo's co-founder Gary Van Buskirk shaped Victoria's culture
Van Buskirk, who died Friday at the age of 75 after a brief battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), was a major contributor to the city’s concert-industry framework.
