^ Accurate reporting is difficult to do in the era of instant information sharing. By the time you've got the facts straight, people have moved on to the next newsworthy (or not) thing.

Arguably there isn't any reporting these days.

When did Forbes and Marshall start working promotions for CFAX 1070? I heard Lisa yesterday and Michael today doing a live promo at Andre’s Electronics in View Royal.
Perhaps Forbes will fill the void in afternoon drive slot.
What have Forbes and Marshall being doing since they left Ocean 98.5?

They're such a nice couple. I wish them well.

they are / were in real estate sales.
Ex-media types seem to flock to real estate; Vancouver is replete with ex-Global, ex-BCTV and ex-CKVU people in the industry. Presumably the thinking is name and/or face recognition helps. A few years ago a long time girlfriend was in the mainland market for a new place so off we went to a series of open houses one weekend from Lions Bay even as far south as White Rock - the first showing was by an ex-CFOX radio jock, followed by one courtesy of an ex-BCTV-Global on air personality, and lastly one conducted by an ex-CKVU weather guy.

Former BCTV weather/traffic person Sarah Daniels is a Realtor. She's been very vocal in the past about the lousy working conditions of being an on-air personality. Locally, Kim Emerson and Alex Robertson sold houses. But you really have to have the skills. Some former media types quickly discover you need more than name recognition and a mellifluous voice.

I bought Rick Honey's house years ago, but he wasn't the realtor.

Conditions are brutal especially for newbies in the industry while oldsters typically get axed by Bell or Corus and others due to their higher salaries. She was one of the three people my girlfriend at the time met with. If Forbes and Marshall are truly "nice people" probably the best thing they could do is plan a permanent exit strategy from the industry.....

Hope they get some good feedback on the WJC broadcast (though the timing of it being during the day isn't ideal).
Ever since 103.1 rebranded from KISS to Jack, Victoria has been without a local radio host for Canucks games. Would love to see CFAX take those on. Very challenging to pick up Sportsnet 650 depending where you are in town.

I like listening to Adam during the morning at work. I was a little disappointed to hear the hockey thing.
IMO, sports talk in general should be shoveled off to the least desirable, most staticy AM frequency transmitted from a the furthest away antenna possible.
Watching sports is bad enough. Listening to it without seeing what's going on is silly. The pre and post game interviews are all exactly the same, they might as well just find one from 1960 and repeat it.

Rogers (owners of Jack and The Ocean) owns NHL broadcast rights. They're not going to let a radio station owned by a rival company broadcast Canucks games.
