Hawk and Hen on lower Yates is now closed...
I guess people decided it was just too fowl.
(two fowl?)

Glad that long, expensive experiment ended. A town of this size should have a sports pub where one can watch a game (besides the Canucks) with sound on if they're so inclined.

What about Sticky's Games Room and Shark Club? There's also a number of pubs around the region that'll crank up the volume, no?
Know it all.

Bard & Banker and Irish Times did a great job with the World Cup.

Oh, as in an opportunity to someone to acquire the rights of a restaurant that is already coming, or will it only be built if someone acquires the franchise?

I was just driving by but I think the sign just said "Franchise Opportunity". Sort of unclear

This typically means the corporate head office has identified the Langford market as a place they'd like to expand to, so they are soliciting a franchisee.

Floyd's Diner has just opened in James Bay, where the James Bay Tea Room used to be, at the corner of Superior & Menzies. Right opposite the new library/Capital Park. This is in addition to, rather than instead of, one of their other locations.

Floyd's Diner should be a good fit in James Bay.

What other breakfast options are there in JB (actual restaurants)? The only one I can think of is Cup of Joe's, on the lower level of the Menzies Plaza where Pharmasave is located. I've been an occasional patron there over the years.

I'm also an occasional fan of cup of joes. Seems like a well kept secret

Popular with the over 70-set I hear.

And me! I quite like it. The staff are cool, the food is good and you're almost always likely to find an open table.

Me too for the JBI for brekkie!
Very cool space the restaurant.
Personally I'm a little tired of the hipster breakfast places.

Hipster Breakfast would make a good name for a band.
