The Village restaurant group has recently purchased and will be taking over Bubby's Kitchen by week's end.

I heard yesterday that the Village group also purchased and will be taking over Shine Cafe. Anyone else have any scoop on whether that's true or just a rumour, and if it includes both Shine locations?

Progress is being made on the second location of Bubby Rose *Bakery* in the former location of Rainbird Boutique in the Cook Street Village...

A second location on the same street as the other bakery and within a block of Bubby's Kitchen? That's a bit dull.

It has a whole new look!

They used to have a bakery right in the village before the Kitchen opened up, so this is just a return to the old way of doing things after an underwhelming attempt at a restaurant.

Seriously?  You work down there and are complaining about food options?  Have you ever worked in just a normal strip mall or suburban office?

Nope, used to work in a much larger city with waaay more culinary diversity and quality. The ass end of Pandora is not great for food comparatively.

Is Oy Vey Jewish?  what does it mean?

Is Nosherie a type of pasta?

"Nosh" is Yiddish for "nibble." "Noshery" or "Nosherie" is just a portmanteau adding -ery or -erie, like we see with "bakery" or "boulangerie." It's basically a different way to say restaurant.

I heard the food is good at Bubby's, so definitely try if before you have dismay and grief over it LOL.

Fair, but the middle-y bits are utter trash and don't make for nice phrasing. The water-front end sounds lame too.

How about "the wet end"?
