The sign on the building went up pretty early. It still says Maman. We walked by the other day and there were some construction materials inside.

 

There also hasn't been much action on Leopolds, though their coming soon sign has always said fall 2019.

Looks like Seattle based MOD Pizza is opening in Belmont Market in Langford. Drove by today and the windows are covered with MOD decals . Hope the quality transfers across the border because the 2 times I have had it, its been awesome. Also heard a KFC is opening , if that is still a thing?

Sockeye Sushi on Johnson St is papered over. I was there a couple of weeks ago so must be recent. It was one of my favourite sushi places in town - great quality and the chef was the nicest guy. Service was often horrendous though - they always seemed chronically understaffed.
