An Indian restaurant is opening soon on Fort Street, called Taj. They haven’t confirmed where on Fort Street, though. Any ideas?
I think they are already operating in the former Spice Jammer space: https://www.tajtasteofindia.com/

They are? Yikes, no updates on their Facebook page since the 17th.

I don't think this has been mentioned yet but Dylan's Sports Bar is now Sonora Bar and Grill.
How many different names and iterations has that place been through in the last ten years?
And, anyone know if it's still liquor-prime or have they switched to food-prime?

We ignore facts in the Trump thread, why so picky now?
Steve Jobs had a Reality Distortion Field.
Donald Trump has a Reality Replacement Field.
Neither of them were/are local restaurateurs, so facts only in this thread please.

Where will the blue-haired set get their weak, decaf coffee and unseasoned meals now?

Decent? Blandest food in the area.
Is the restaurant going to go to make room for development? If not, it seems a good spot for a Joeys or Red Lobster

The new development is years away so I don't understand why they'd pack it in right now unless the owners are retiring. It's a busy place but it clears out by 7.

Not surprising when the last guests arrive for dinner at 5:30.

Talking to staff, it seems a combination over uncertainty around the development timing (they've been in limbo for something like four years now) and the key person/people being ready to retire are the deciding factors. Once the development starts, it seems everything in that entire complex except for Home Depot comes down, to be replaced with a multi-story apartments-above commercial-below complex.
The Royal Bank is also moving out of that centre sometime in May for, I gather, similar reasons around development timing uncertainty. They're going into Tuscany Village across Shelbourne.

That place must have made the owners millions of dollars over the... Decades?...
Agreed. There has to be a lot of profit when you just keep adding water to the same coffee grounds all day long.
