Chiba Sushi moved because the property they were on is up for re-development. So nothing moved in to their previous space.

But speaking of the property Chiba Sushi was, I've always wondered about the "Sub Stop". Did they actually sell subs? Always thought it must be a front for something.

Never been inside but they do advertise a Western Union money service so it seems like a convenient place to wire money internationally while you grab a quick lunch.

didn't they actually make and then wholesale subs to some other corner stores etc.?   i might be wrong.

That makes sense. That most of their business is wholesale rather than retail.

Up in Gibsons/Sechelt retired seniors are filling in at the cafes and retail stores that can't get anyone off their couch to go to work.

They take no pay, instead their pay is contributed to a charity.

Maybe the cafes should pay a living wage? To those that haven’t been forced to move due to the high costs of living in the area.

Same here - drove by it daily for years and always thought you'd get a funny look if you came in and ordered a sub :)

Good start, but when will they require all customers to be fully vaxxed?
