It’s 2022 and we are still eating chickens?

I’m not opposed, but surely there is other fine fowl. Like snipe.

Canadians have some unquantifiable love of Fried Chicken. Even Asian Fried Chicken chains are coming to Canada.

A co-founder of the Cactus Club Cafe restaurant empire has sold his ownership stake in the company, leaving it in the hands of a long-time partner with whom he had waged a bitter court battle.

Richard Jaffray, who started Cactus Club with fellow Earls server Scott Morison in North Vancouver in 1988, has sold his portion of the company to the Fuller family, an investor from back in its earliest days.

He will step down as president in early March.

Jaffray and the Fullers — who also own the Earls dining chain — were immersed in lawsuits in B.C. Supreme Court in 2019 over what the family said were extravagant expense claims by the Cactus Club founder. Jaffray countered at the time that the family was misusing inside information about Cactus Club finances to help its Joey restaurants startup gain a competitive advantage.

Didn't see the name, but looks like some sort of take out place has replaced the gas station at 4233 Glanford Ave across from red barn... looked interesting to say the least. Very curious what it is but can't find any info online

I think this is for a film shoot.

From what I know the property was sold to Esso and will eventually be a large Esso location.

This must play a central role in the film for it to have been so detailed.

Unfortunately, it sounds like this project has been cancelled. There was some sort of a hiccup and the application got pulled.

Huge fan, can't wait. We've hit the Duncan outlet probably on every fishing trip from the Cowichan River "north", for a few years now.

Tried Popeye's yesterday it wasn't bad but on a sunny Sunday probably that wasn't the best planning; there were 30? people in the lineup ahead of us although it moved along at a good pace. Inside seating is available but very limited. And then of course there is that really s***** parking lot at Tuscany Village to contend with. I'd go again but only if I was in the neighborhood, I wouldn't drive across town specifically for it particularly since Lee's will be much closer.

...Jasmine Family Restaurant closing its doors in Colwood...

...the new owners have plans to redevelop the property into an apartment building...

This seems like an odd location for an apartment building.

What's The Q! Centre Market?

I'm not sure, but according to Bing maps it operates out of the Juan de Fuca Library parking lot.

I think through the summer they do a market there...  Or they did back in 2019...
