Is The Wandering Mollusk, which I think is/was a food truck/seafood retailer, now becoming a full service restaurant? If not, do they require the entire space the existing restaurant occupies? Is it that Shine cannot find staff or are they laying off staff in advance of closing?

Mollusk is going to be an oyster bar...  Going brick and mortar.  Likely continue with some pop up and catering.

What is the name of that expensive grocery store in Esquimalt, the one with the $117 olives?

You're thinking of Market Garden on Catherine St. Don't know about the olives but the best tartar sauce I've ever had, short of home made of course, is carried there and goes for about $12/jar. The place is wildly popular, has been since it opened. Its even open on Christmas Day.

^that's great! I think the Bay Centre space remains vacant?

Good news for the people who like a shave, a haircut, a beer and a hot dog all in one place, and no, I’m not talking about a Chuck E Cheese next to a hair salon, but Saint Franks. They’re moving to Yates (the old Patch space, I think?) in the 700-block.

The Bay Centre Johnny Rocket’s is for lease. Interestingly, Central Barber is moving to a new space on the mall’s Fort Street frontage, but not the former Johnny Rocket’s: they will be located west of the Good Earth cafe.

Well we went into the Market Garden today, I was wrong about the $117 jar of olives, it was $115.

Quite a place, must have spent 40 minutes walking around it.

Not old patch, closer to the middle of the block.  Into that building that's been in renovation mode for what seems to be over 2 years.  Right next to the office building on that side.

Oh I see, next to the coffee shop?

I think once upon a time the Yates Taphouse guys had wanted to do something with that space, too.

Any word on what’s happening in the former Patch space?

Didn't the Toy store/museum move there from 1000 Broad?  Well, still in the process of moving.

$6,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for a business owner to set up Pizza, Vietnamese Pho, Ramen, Bubble tea, and Poke bar Business. A commercial hood can be installed. 2,000 sq. and it used to be a pizza place. The business will be very good as there are ample parkings, closed Naval Base, surrounded by residential, a school and businesses. Don't miss this opportunity to set up a your dream business!!
