Glacier Media continuing to make strides in the online world. They have just purchased Kelowna's digital media brand Castanet for $22 mil.

That's pretty good. How many visitors would Castanet see in any given month?

 

According to their advertising page, they average 430,000 unique visitors per week. 1.6mil visits per week averaging 5.73 pages per visit, for a total of 9.4mil page views per week. All number from here: https://www.castanet...elowna-2018.pdf

Was in Save On today and happened to notice the T-C has the cajones to raise their retail price to $2.75 - pretty ballsy IMO inasmuch as entities like McDonald's and BC Transit literally had to give the rag away for free and at that more often than not still had copies left over each day.

Wow! Castanet and the price paid for it seem like so pre millennium. Like internet bubble.

the globe and mail is $6 on the weekend.
