There should have been a mass uprising over what Trudeau did, and we did nothing.

 

He should be in jail now, but we do nothing.

 

Carney continues the sell out of the country and we just watch and put our elbows up, sort of.

There was a massive uprising. Biggest our country has seen. And we won. That’s why we aren’t elbow bumping during mask season.

When I started protesting there were a dozen of us. After the truckers there were 10,000. It was glorious.

Did a brief experimental stint on "Bluesky" as I had found the site while trying to find out what BlueChew is. So I purchased 500 followers(as you do on most platforms) and had a fun time for a few summer months until the algorithms got really annoying, before my free thinking stopped I decided to stop. Did see some old faces

The Manitoba government will move to ban children from using social media accounts and artificial intelligence chatbots, Premier Wab Kinew told fellow New Democrats on Saturday night.

Kinew told some 900 people at a party fundraiser that the province plans to protect kids from technology platforms that he says hurt their development.

"These tools have been designed by ... people who understand our psychology, who understand our biology. And they have designed these tools and optimized them to hack our children's reward system in their brain," Kinew said.

"These are forces that contribute to anxiety and depression. These are forces that lead to young women being trafficked."

Kinew did not reveal details of his plan, such as the age limit he is considering or how a provincial government might have jurisdiction over international platforms. He did not speak to reporters after his speech.

Ottawa must include artificial intelligence chatbots in any forthcoming social media ban for kids, says B.C.’s attorney general.

Niki Sharma made the comments after releasing a letter to federal officials Tuesday in which the province laid out its expectations for federal regulation of social media platforms. 

Manitoba is moving ahead with its own ban on social media for kids, expected to include chatbots. B.C. would prefer Ottawa craft federal regulations first on youth access to platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook.

The technology is the the issue.  Banning social media is like banning phones, print, language.
