The Landmark condo, famous for its "night is for sleeping, day is for resting" mattress sculpture, is the latest victim of the leaky condo crisis. Scaffolding is currently being erected.

I'm glad to see this one's being worked on. It's in such a terrible state.
I hope they are going to give it an updated colour as well.

That place was built in the 90's? Yeesh, it looks like it was built in the 70s.
And Mowry Baden's mattrass "art?" Call me a philistine if you must, but I don't find any of his work particularly creative or inspiring. On his website, there are a series of pieces of people standing in rooms. OK, so the rooms are a little odd-shaped - to me, that is not art, not by a long shot.
Neither is that decrepit hunk of metal that he must have salvaged from the junk pile at Budget Steel and plopped in front of the area for $47meeelion dollars or whatever it was.

Never liked that building, neo-Brutalist IMO. I like abstract art but an artist once told me, "If you have to put words in it you are failing to communicate visually."
