I'm wondering how that heavy equipment is going to get out of there.

But then how would they get the crane out?

I'm just being silly. Obviously they would use another crane.

Nice going, skyscraper fanboys. You ruined the view from the RBCM's webcam...

Then the pit is filled with dozens of cranes and they're embarrassed and just top it up with dirt and pretend nothing happened. That's why the Belmont Building doesn't have underground parking.

New core rebar has gone up.  The tops of the rebar should be floor 19.  Looks like they'll need to raise the crane yet again.

Would the tip of the rebar be the bottom of the 19th floor or its roof, Gary?

Note how the rebar is only now at the same height as the roof of the 13-storey 750 Pandora. Also, the upper floors of HP1 will have taller floorplates.

That's right, tip is the bottom (floor) of the 19th floor.

Wow. So with the crown element the building will stand quite a bit taller than the tip of the crane.

Good gravy ... move to Sooke

I think you might have missed the sarcasm in grantpalin's post.

HP1 is so tall you can see it from Sooke. It's really unfortunate for all of the people who moved to Sooke to get away from the Hudson district.

I know, the “tall” buildings have killed Victoria’s “charm” ... they should never allowed construction outside the fort walls ...
