The parkade is now rubble, a tangle of rebar and broken concrete.

Trades workers want to buy into the building, or that there's a lot of interest for the units?

According to Townline's newsletter (published today and viewable at http://www.mylasso.c...Winter_2016.pdf ), the sales centre for this project is opening in late 2017.  And the fact that it's a sales centre rather than a leasing centre (such as the upcoming one for Hudson Walk 2) indicates that this development will probably be comprised of condos rather than rentals.

LATE 2017? I hoped this would break ground long before then.  :(

My understanding is the building will be both rentals and condos. I'm not certain what the make-up of the units will be, though.

It is two towers so one could see one as condos and the other as rentals.

That makes the most sense to me.

My understanding is there will be a mix of rentals and condos within at least one tower.

Do you mean there is a chance they won't build two towers now?

They were going to go with a single tower and a large multi-storey base, but those plans are no longer at the forefront. My understanding is the two tower design is back but what that entails we're waiting to hear on. The make-up is expected to be a mix of rentals, condos and commercial space in the tallest of the two towers (possibly also rentals and condos in the shorter of the two).
